Coffin Bound #8

Dani's cover for this eighth issue of Image's Coffin Bound is a genuinely arresting piece of work — a skeletal bird carcass rendered in cool blues and pinks dominates the foreground, its hollow bones and hooked beak intertwined with the shadowy silhouette of a sunglasses-wearing figure lurking behind it. The neon-green dripping logo and that eerie tension between the organic and the ominous make this one of 2020's most visually distinctive covers on the stands. Dan Watters and Dani's collaboration continues to announce itself with real confidence, and this closing stretch of the series looks like it's not letting up.
