Jake Travest and Jenny Swensen, wearing the new experimental Model III, M.A.X. armor, attempt to rescue a contra leader in Nicaragua. The mission ends badly as Spitfire narrowly escapes, suffering multiple burns and other injuries, while Travest is captured by the Sandinistas. Despite still being badly injured and the M.A.X. armor still damaged, Jenny dons the armor and rescues Travest.
