Cloaked #2

The second chapter of Dark Horse's four-issue miniseries Cloaked keeps the tension wound tight, with Jordi Armengol's cover depicting a masked, caped figure leaping through the air with guns drawn — locked in a dangerous mid-air clash with an opponent clutching a rifle, as cascading "HA HA HA" laughter bleeds across the bottom of the image. That unsettling laughter lends the whole scene an air of chaotic menace, suggesting our hero is up against something more unhinged than an ordinary threat. Writer Mike Richardson and the multi-talented Armengol — handling pencils, inks, and colors throughout — are clearly building something stylish and pulpy with this series.
