The second volume of Ki-oon's Clevatess arrives with a striking cover: a battle-hardened, blonde warrior wearing an eye patch lunges forward with sword in hand, brown cape billowing behind her as jagged red and black shapes erupt around her. The raw energy of the composition — all sharp angles and dramatic contrast — signals that this series has plenty of fight left in it. A great pick for manga fans who like their action heroines fierce and their visual design unapologetically bold.
