Exploring a pyramid with a friend in ancient Egypt, almost-fifteen-year-old Cleopatra activates a device that transports her to the far future. There she learns (from a talking cat) that a prophecy names her as the hero who will help P.Y.R.A.M.I.D. [Pharaoh Yosira's Research and Military Initiative of Defense] defeat the galaxy-conquering despot Xaius Octavian.
