This issue presents an illustrated comic adaptation of William Shakespeare's Macbeth. The story follows Macbeth and Donalbain, sons of a murdered king, as they learn of their father's death and later encounter supernatural prophecies delivered by apparitions in a cauldron. Macbeth receives predictions that he cannot be harmed by anyone born of woman and that his reign is secure until Birnam Wood comes against him, spurring him toward increasingly ruthless actions. The narrative culminates in Macbeth preparing for battle at Dunsinane Castle, where he wrestles with fear and ambition as he faces the approaching forces that will ultimately test the witches' prophecies.
