City Hall #2

The second volume of Ankama's City Hall brings together writer Guillaume Lapeyre and artist Rémi Guerin for another stylish manga-influenced adventure set against a steampunk-tinged cityscape. The cover showcases two sharply dressed protagonists — a pink-haired young woman leveling an ornate mechanical firearm and a purple-haired young man in a flowing coat tossing playing cards into the air — with wartime bombers and Big Ben's silhouette looming through the clouds behind them. It's a wonderfully kinetic image that captures the series' mix of wit, action, and Art Deco flair right from 2012.
