Cimoc #118
This eighth issue of the Spanish comics magazine Cimoc, published by Norma Editorial in 1991, continues the anthology series' tradition of featuring a mix of serialized and standalone stories from both Spanish and international creators. As part of the magazine's run during the early 1990s, it offers a snapshot of the period's comic scene, with content spanning various genres and styles typical of the publication's format.
A 1991 issue from Norma Editorial's Cimoc series, "La historia que Tihuo contó" features a story written by Carlos Trillo and illustrated by Enrique Breccia, with inking also by Breccia. The cover, created entirely by Luis Royo, presents a distinctive visual for the issue.
In *Noche negra*, the fugitive killer Macbeth lies dying in a remote African mission, tended to by the devout Dawson couple. As tensions rise and a mysterious Massai warrior closes in, Macbeth and the pastor’s wife Laura grow close—until the pastor catches them together, triggering a violent confrontation that leaves him dead. The attacker’s true target isn’t Laura, but the pastor’s wife, and Macbeth, too weak to stop him, watches helplessly as the real threat takes its prize.
