This first volume of the French edition of Chobits introduces the story of Hideki Motosuwa, a young man who discovers a mysterious, abandoned Persocom (a humanoid computer) in the trash. Named Chi, the Persocom cannot speak or perform basic functions, but Hideki soon learns she is far more unique than any other machine, setting the stage for a blend of romance, science fiction, and philosophical questions about artificial life. This collection adapts the early chapters of the original manga by CLAMP, published by Pika Édition for the French market.
