Two armed men face the viewer on this striking cover — one crouching with a drawn bow, the other standing with a pistol raised — set against a lush, misty wilderness that immediately signals tension and contrasting worlds. The subtitle À Armes Égales ("Equal Arms") hints at a clash where very different weapons, and perhaps very different cultures, are brought to bear against one another. TaDuc and Le Tendre's Chinaman series continues to deliver beautifully rendered adventure in this 2001 Dupuis edition.
