Dagwood has clearly bitten off more than he can chew on this fishing trip — a massive, furious marlin has leapt straight out of the water and is giving him a white-knuckle tug-of-war while a wide-eyed companion clings to a small, battered boat below. Harvey Comics' 1953 entry in Chic Young's long-running series delivers the kind of domestic-man-vs.-nature slapstick that made Dagwood such an endearing everyman. If the story title "Fresh Fish" is any indication, the catch of the day is fighting back with everything it's got.
