Cheyenne Kid #40
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis 1963 Charlton issue splits its cover into two arresting scenes: above, a shirtless man rises warily from his bed as an ominous shadowy figure looms in the background, while below, a dark demonic horse rears up against a figure amid fiery, explosive chaos. The cover copy promises "a mysterious night visitor" bringing "one of the most macabre adventures in the history of the Old West," and teases both "Showdown at Clintock" and a tale called "The Grey Ghost" alongside the interior story "The Killer Kind." Jack Keller's linework gives the whole thing a wonderfully eerie energy that sets Cheyenne Kid apart from the typical Western fare of its day.
