Cheyenne Kid #33
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis April 1962 Charlton Western packs three stories into one dime-priced package — "Holdup," "Pawnee Princess," and "Rulers of Axhandle" — promising a full afternoon of frontier action. The cover by Jack Keller and Dick Giordano delivers the goods: a runaway horse-drawn carriage races across the bottom of the page while a desperate figure battles atop it and a frightened passenger clings on, gunshots ringing out ("BLAM BLAM BLAM") in the background, all framed by a sharply dressed gunman watching coolly from the upper right and a separate shootout scene unfolding at upper left. With Joe Gill writing and Charles Nicholas and Vince Alascia handling the interiors, fans of hard-riding Western comics had plenty to look forward to.
