Cheyenne Kid #14

The Cheyenne Kid encounters two Apache warriors who claim to be from a wolf band renegades, not the main tribe. They convince him they are few in number and did not steal cattle, asking for his trust and offering to hide him from pursuing soldiers. However, the Cheyenne Kid remains suspicious, realizing it might be a trick. Later, an outraged farmer named Clem Vessel complains to the Cheyenne Kid about stolen horses bearing blotted brands, and together they set out to stop the rustlers. The Cheyenne Kid and Vessel's group pursue the thieves, leading to a confrontation where a riata is thrown onto a wagon, and the Cheyenne Kid commands his men to overturn the wagon and "trample the stuff in the mud."
