Congolese troops resent a white foreign leader, while their lackadaisical manners infuriate Che. Despite a peace settlement Che tries to continue the struggle but is hunted down by government troops until he flees across Lake Tanganyika, leaving many of his men behind to be captured or killed. He goes into hiding.
