“That Felton Boy”

In "That Felton Boy," Brenda adjusts to life in Peasley after her family's move, forming a tentative friendship with Brad while navigating her mother’s strict ideas about proper social circles. When Jimmy—whom Brenda sees through as a smarmy opportunist—grows jealous, he sets out to ruin Brad’s reputation by framing him for a jewel theft. Written with a sharp eye for small-town tensions and drawn in the distinctive style of the era, this issue of Charm #5 (1967) captures the quiet drama of adolescence and suspicion, all under a cover by typeset.
