“The Thing in the Locked Room!”

In "The Thing in the Locked Room!", a desperate thief stumbles into a strangely kind-hearted city where everyone seems to go out of their way to help him—until he’s warned not to touch a mysterious box. The man who shelters him claims it took him fifty years to collect its contents, but the thief can’t resist the temptation, unaware of what he’s about to unleash. With art by John Forte and a cover by Ron Wilson and Frank Giacoia, this 1975 Marvel tale delivers a chilling twist on a classic trope, all for the price of a 25-cent comic.
