Chained Soldier #3

Volume 3 of Chained Soldier puts its firepower on full display, with a blue-haired young woman in a military-styled uniform hefting an enormous multi-barreled cannon while heavy chains coil dramatically around her. Yohei Takemura's art makes the composition pop with striking energy — the golden epaulettes, red accents, and flowing twin-tailed hair contrasting beautifully against the cool metallic hardware. With story by Takahiro and this kind of bold visual confidence already three volumes in, the series is clearly hitting its stride.
