Centaurus #2
The second volume of this French-language science fiction series from Léo, Rodolphe, and Janjetov drops readers into an alien world that feels both ancient and unsettling. Janjetov's cover art draws the eye down a narrow stone corridor where two small human figures walk deeper into the unknown, dwarfed by towering walls that suggest a civilization not their own — and loomed over by the massive, luminous red head of a creature that dominates the foreground. Terre Étrangère ("Foreign Land") is a fitting subtitle for this 2016 Delcourt release, promising a story of humanity adrift on a world where they are very much not at home.
