Catwoman #35

Part of DC's 2021 "Fear State" crossover event, this issue pairs Catwoman with a visibly shaken Poison Ivy, both surrounded by a dense, almost suffocating tangle of dark, grasping vines and twisted branches that seem to have overtaken an entire room — broken furniture and a framed mirror caught in the overgrowth. Catwoman crouches in her sleek black suit, wide-eyed and alert, while Ivy stands above her with hands raised to her face in apparent horror, her green skin and flame-red hair vivid against the chaotic botanical backdrop. Yanick Paquette's cover art, colored by Jordie Bellaire, delivers a wonderfully unsettling atmosphere that makes this one hard to pass up.
