Catacomb of Torment #8 promises exactly the kind of wrong-under-the-surface dread that defines EC-tradition horror — and Ariel Olivetti's cover delivers it with unsettling precision: a grinning woman holds a toddler in a sailor suit, both of them blood-spattered, the child clutching what appears to be a mangled bird amid the cheerful floral wallpaper and birdcage behind them. That gap between the domestic warmth of the scene and its gruesome details is genuinely skin-crawling. Inside, writer Paul Tobin and artist Arjuna Susini bring "The Miniature Painter" to life, with colors by Michael Atiyeh rounding out this February 2026 entry in Oni Press's anthology of jolting tales of tension.
