Cataclysm: Ultimate Spider-Man #2

Part two of Marvel's 2014 Cataclysm crossover unites three of the Ultimate Universe's most compelling young heroes on a striking cover by David Marquez — Miles Morales in his black-and-red Spider-Man suit crouches at the forefront, flanked by a determined Cloak and a fierce-eyed Dagger, all three radiating a sense of urgent purpose. Marquez's clean, expressive linework and Justin Ponsor's sharp coloring give the trio a real sense of weight against the stark white and geometric shield backdrop. Brian Michael Bendis continues his run on the series, and with this creative team assembled, it's easy to see why this corner of the Ultimate line carried such devoted readership.
