Cat on the Hero’s Lap #2

The second volume of this charming manga from Kousuke Iijima (story) and Shiori (art) radiates warmth right from its cover — a wide-eyed young hero lying in a sun-dappled field of white flowers, caught between a plump, indifferent orange tabby nuzzling his face and a striking black-and-white cat staring out with serene golden eyes. There's a delightful tension in that expression, equal parts exasperated and delighted, that captures the series' cozy, humorous spirit perfectly. If the first volume charmed you, this 2024 release from Seven Seas Entertainment looks every bit as inviting.
