Finding an ancient Chinese tray among his grandfather's effects, Dr. Agasa takes it to an expert to have it appraised. As it turns out, the appraiser has three other trays there for appraisal, after the item was spotlighted on a television antiques show. The appraiser determines that only one of the trays is genuine and worth millions. But before he can communicate this, he's murdered and the authentic tray stolen.
