Case Closed #54
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis volume collects chapters from the long-running manga series Case Closed (also known as Detective Conan), following the young detective Jimmy Kudo as he solves mysteries while trapped in a child's body. The title story, 'The Moving Shrine Room,' presents a locked-room puzzle involving a shrine that appears to shift locations, challenging Conan's deductive skills. This edition is part of Viz's ongoing English release of the series, which began in 2015.
In "Dinner Menu," Conan uses a visit to a cherry blossom viewing as a cover to call in the mysterious Harley for help with Eisuke Honda. When Conan and the others are suddenly summoned to a quiet monastery, they arrive to find a dead body—only to discover it’s vanished, leaving no trace behind. Written by Gosho Aoyama and Tetsuichiro Miyaki, with art by Gosho Aoyama and inks by both Aoyama and Andrea Rice, this issue features a cover by Gosho Aoyama and Andrea Rice.
When a body is discovered in a frozen lake deep within a snowbound ravine during a ski lodge vacation, Conan and the Junior Detective League find themselves racing against time to solve a mystery cut off from the outside world. With no clear path in or out and the storm worsening, the team must piece together clues hidden in the cold silence of the mountains.
In "The Devouring Room," Conan invites Harley to Kyoto under the pretense of cherry blossom viewing, but their quiet visit takes a sudden turn when a monk’s discovery of a dead body at a secluded monastery leads the group to a baffling mystery—no corpse, no trace, and no explanation.
In "Detective Koshien," Conan, Jo, and the other teen detectives find themselves trapped on an isolated island under the guise of a reality TV show—only to uncover that the entire premise is a carefully constructed lie. As they piece together the truth behind their mysterious confinement, the line between game and danger begins to blur.
In "The Locked Room Solution," the teen detectives face their most chilling case yet when one of their own is found dead on a remote island. With no way to call for help and the lines of communication severed, Rachel and Kazuha must piece together the truth before the killer strikes again.
