The title story, 'The Moving Shrine Room,' presents a locked-room puzzle involving a shrine that appears to shift locations, challenging Conan's deductive skills. This edition is part of Viz's ongoing English release of the series, which began in 2015.
In "Dinner Menu," Conan uses a visit to a cherry blossom viewing as a cover to call in the mysterious Harley for help with Eisuke Honda. When Conan and the others are suddenly summoned to a quiet monastery, they arrive to find a dead body—only to discover it’s vanished, leaving no trace behind. Written by Gosho Aoyama and Tetsuichiro Miyaki, with art by Gosho Aoyama and inks by both Aoyama and Andrea Rice, this issue features a cover by Gosho Aoyama and Andrea Rice.

Conan calls Harley in to consult with him on Eisuke Honda, with seeing the cherry blossoms as an excuse. During the visit, Conan and the others are summoned to a local monastery where a novitiate monk has found a dead body. But when the arrive, the body is gone and no evidence of a crime remains.
