Carnage #8
Carnage #8 brings "Sea Devil Part Three" to life with a cover by Mike Del Mundo that is genuinely unsettling in the best possible way — the symbiote-wrapped figure slumped against padded walls, face half-dissolved into that unmistakable white-eyed grin, radiates a creeping, almost clinical dread. The crimson tendrils writhing across the figure suggest a host barely containing something far worse, and the muted institutional setting makes the whole image feel deeply wrong in a way that lingers. Writer Gerry Conway and artist Mike Perkins continue this 2016 series with a chapter that promises to push Carnage somewhere unsettling and strange.
