Stéphane Gess's cover work is confident and atmospheric, bathing the scene in that distinctive magenta light while Carmen's black tactical gear and flowing coat create a sharp, memorable silhouette. Part seven of the "Het geval E.M.G." cycle, with "De oproep van Baikonoer" promising new intrigue, this 2012 Daedalus edition — written by Fred Duval and colored by Isabelle Rabarot — is a fine entry point into one of Franco-Belgian comics' most stylish action series.
