Captain Midnight #8

Captain Midnight and his sidekick Dink undertake a dangerous bombing mission against Nazi convoy ships carrying vital war materials, testing a new destroyer escort equipped with advanced weapons systems. When enemy aircraft attack during the operation, Red must pilot the damaged bomber through intense anti-aircraft fire and manage a crippled engine to complete the bombing run. In a parallel subplot, a female scientist in Captain Midnight's laboratory discovers that a new detector device has gone missing, with suspicions falling on Captain Albright, though the scientist expresses reluctance to believe he would betray them to the enemy.
