Captain Midnight pursues a fugitive plane carrying criminals escaping from "The Rock" federal penitentiary, but the plane's occupants sabotage the electrical system powering the island's defenses. Meanwhile, Sergeant Twilight has invented a slumbering engine designed to help people sleep, but a criminal with a slingerbine device plans to use it maliciously, creating a disturbance by modifying the invention into a noise-making machine that terrorizes the city with loud banging sounds. Captain Midnight must stop both the escaped convicts and the criminal threatening the city with the weaponized sleep device.

Tunnel of Terror
8 pp · Adventure

When an ambitious engineer accepts the job of building the world's largest underwater tunnel beneath a great river, he faces opposition from an unexpected quarter—Martha's own father, who fears the project will ruin his ferry business. Captain Midnight springs into action when the tunnel mysteriously collapses during its opening ceremony, trapping the young engineer and his fiancée in a deadly flood, and discovers that sabotage—not faulty design—is to blame. Written by Bill Woolfolk, "The Tunnel of Terror" is a high-stakes race against time to expose the culprit and complete the impossible task before the contract expires.

Path of Darkness

When a criminal mastermind intercepts Captain Albright's experimental magnetic regenerator—a device that can shut down all electrical power in a wide radius—he plots to use it to spring his imprisoned pilot from a federal penitentiary. Captain Midnight races to stop the breakout, but the real danger emerges when the disgraced Lieutenant Reed, embittered by a dishonourable discharge he didn't deserve, finds himself approached by Al Malone's gang with a tempting offer. Now Midnight must navigate a web of betrayal and desperation to prevent his invention from fueling the underworld's next move.

Homer Sapiens, the renowned sleeping pill manufacturer, descends into madness when insomnia torments him, and he launches a city-wide noise campaign determined to keep everyone awake as punishment. When Sergeant Twilight's brilliant slumber invention becomes the only refuge from the chaos, Captain Midnight must track down the source of the terror and confront the maddened Sapiens before the entire city collapses from exhaustion. It's a race against sleeplessness as the city's greatest hero takes on a foe driven by his own tormented nights.

Swamp of Death
7 pp · Adventure

Casey James' ambitious transcontinental railroad project faces its greatest test yet: crossing the vast, treacherous Swamp of Death in Brazil. When workers refuse to venture into the swamp out of fear of a legendary demon, Captain Midnight arrives with an ingenious solution—a special weightless "snowshoe track" designed to distribute a train's weight safely across the boggy terrain. But as construction begins, a genuine threat emerges from the swamp's depths, and only Captain Midnight can uncover the truth behind the menace that stalks the workers.
