Captain Albright's summer hunting vacation in the Alaskan wilderness ends abruptly when he stumbles upon a mystery: a dozen Army vehicles have vanished along the strategically vital Alcan Highway, leaving no trace despite being surrounded by snow. Determined to investigate, Albright—revealed to be the costumed adventurer Captain Midnight—discovers tire tracks that seem to materialize from nowhere and uncovers a connection to a murdered Eskimo hunter, setting him on the trail of an organized sabotage operation.
Captain Midnight and his aide Icky Mudd pursue Nazi agents into the woods, but a shocking secret forces them to retreat—the hero has a rare, life-threatening allergy to poison ivy that could prove fatal if exploited. When the Nazis learn this vulnerability and sabotage a fruit grower's orchard to lure him into a deadly trap, Captain Midnight must race against time to stop both the enemy's scheme and the spreading blight threatening America's vital harvest.
