Captain Midnight #23

Captain Albright investigates sabotage at a guayule rubber plantation near El Paso, Texas, where mysterious oil is raining down on America's experimental rubber crop—and his suspicions lead him to a nearby prisoner-of-war camp harboring a sinister plot masterminded by his old nemesis, Baron Von Togo. When the escape unfolds and Von Togo takes to the air with flame throwers, Captain Midnight pursues with daring and ingenuity, but the resourceful villain proves far from finished with his scheme. As the action spills across the desert and into the skies, Midnight must stay one step ahead of a cunning adversary who never gives up the fight.
