Captain Marvel Jr. #58
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis February 1948 Fawcett publication promises a genuinely disorienting adventure with its cover by Bud Thompson, showing Captain Marvel Jr. surrounded by a dizzying array of his own reflections — multiple versions of the hero in his blue-and-gold costume tumbling and multiplying across what appears to be a mirror maze. The cover teases the featured story "The Amazing Mirror Maze!" right on the front, and the effect of seeing the hero fractured into several distorted duplicates, including a child-sized reflection, gives the whole image a wonderfully surreal, carnival-funhouse energy. At just ten cents, this was a fantastic slice of mid-century superhero adventure from one of Fawcett's most beloved characters.
