The source material — Captain Marvel (2019) #22–26 — was produced by writer Kelly Thompson with pencillers Lee Garbett and Belén Ortega and colorists Tamra Bonvillain and Antonio Fabela, under Marvel's ongoing eleventh Captain Marvel series. Panini Comics France translated and collected these five issues into a 112-page hardcover album, releasing it on January 26, 2022, within their 100% Marvel collection — the same imprint used for Panini France's prestige trade paperback line. Cover art for the French edition was provided by Jorge Molina.
