Captain Justice comes upon a water hole and immediately realizes that Apaches were there not long before. As he rides off he soon hears the sound of rifle fire, alerting him to a skirmish nearby. Through his binoculars he sees a squadron of cavalry attacking a band of Apaches, wiping out all but a few. But Justice sees one Apache escaping off in the distance. Realizing it's Chief Thunderhorse, Apache renegade, he sets off after him. A struggle ensues, and Justice knocks the chief unconscious. Then he fires three shots, alerting the nearby cavalry, and they arrive to capture Thunderhorse.
