Captain Battle Comics #5

Captain Battle investigates a Japanese fishing boat and discovers a suspicious passage in its hold. Thompson, a spy working undercover, is exposed when Bob Stewart takes his place and calls in the League, leading to a violent car chase through Chicago where gang members with incendiary bullets attack. In a separate story, Detective Phil Barrows investigates Eduardo Donati, who confesses to conspiring with Joe "the Snake" to commit murder; Donati's confession is recorded on a dictaphone and used as evidence against him.
