“In Thy Image”

In "In Thy Image," Captain America finds himself trapped in a Mexican castle, forced to confront not only the new Baron Zemo—revealed to be the son of the original—but also the chilling presence of Zola, who has taken on Steve Rogers’ likeness to disrupt his life from within. Written by J. M. DeMatteis and brought to life by Mike Zeck’s striking interior art, with John Beatty handling the inks and Bob Sharen’s vivid coloring, this 1983 issue delivers a tense, personal showdown that pushes Cap to his limits. The cover by Mike Zeck and John Beatty captures the shadowed dread of the story, where identity and loyalty are under siege.
