Candy #60

Candy involves herself in a school election between candidates Stuart Smith and Ted Dawson, casting the deciding vote. After the election results are announced with Candy's help, Ted fires her as his campaign manager, leading Candy to seek revenge by nominating a "test pilot" to run for sophomore president next term. A subplot follows a man who uses a diary as a writing device to impress a woman; when she invites him to lunch and asks him to return a borrowed book, he misinterprets her interest as romantic, only to discover later that she was merely being kind and has no real feelings for him.
