When Ted Dawson learns that Candy O'Connor plans to take skiing lessons from rival Ashley Hartburn, he impulsively claims he's an expert skier too—despite having never touched a pair of skis in his life. Ted borrows equipment and heads to Hazardous Hill to prove himself, but his complete lack of actual skill sends him careening downhill in increasingly wild and hilarious ways. As disaster mounts and the stakes get higher, Ted's day on the slopes turns into a slapstick adventure that tests both his courage and his ability to keep up the charade.

When Candy O'Connor lands a part-time job at Frankovich's Wrecking Repair Service, she's determined to prove that women know cars just as well as men—but her unconventional approach to mechanical work and customer service quickly turns the garage upside down. As frustrated drivers and an increasingly bewildered Mr. Frankovich deal with her creative (if disastrous) methods, Candy barrels ahead with characteristic confidence and charm.

Candy suspects her boyfriend Ted is seeing someone else, so she hatches a plan to test his feelings—by disguising herself as a sophisticated Parisian woman named Mlle. Fifi La Tour. But Ted has his own scheme in mind, recruiting his pal Orville to introduce him to Candy in disguise as the suave "Don Pablo Von Garcia Y Lopez." What unfolds is a hilarious case of mistaken identities and crossed wires as both lovers try to spy on each other, leading to a tango-filled encounter neither quite expected.

Candy O'Connor gets railroaded into auditioning for the school orchestra by Ted Dawson, who'd rather pursue "culture" than basketball tryouts—but her musical talents prove to be, well, creatively unorthodox. When she finally lands a spot playing triangle, she discovers Ted flirting with a violinist, and decides to use her newfound orchestral position to keep a close eye on him.
