Candy #16

Candy involves several intertwined romantic plots. In one story, Candy's father attempts to stop her elopement with Ted by spreading false rumors, but Ted proves his honesty by fixing a ladder, while Candy thwarts the scheme by being struck by the truth. In another storyline, Candy encounters a personality-testing gadget and uses her newfound "personality" to treat a client to Ed's Fizz Shop and impress others. A third plot shows Candy helping make arrangements for dates, including securing a second date for a woman and offering to set up an extra date for a man interested in reading at the library tomorrow.
