Candy receives a new exclusive jacket and hopes her boyfriend Ted will like it. At a performance where Miss Progorza announces a contest winner, Ted is awarded one hundred dollars in front of an audience; Candy is disappointed he didn't mention her, though he later explains he was planning a surprise birthday party for her. In "Jitters," a couple attempts to elope but encounters chaos at a cash register and city hall, with complications involving the Marylin King and claims about her socialite status. Candy's aunt Harriet calls to invite her to a surprise serenade party, but the evening is disrupted by horrible noises that nearly ruin the event.
