One story follows Andy competing in a dangerous downhill ski race on a mountain trail called Suicide Run, where his rival Monk Evans attempts to sabotage him by placing a dummy on the path. Another narrative features Jeff, who encounters a Hawaiian king and learns about the historical connection between two sailing ships—the Eleona and the Fair American—and their captains' relationship, ultimately deciding to return to New York with a crew of Sandwich Islanders. A third story depicts a boy named Billy who must pilot a damaged seaplane to save a flooded town by releasing pressure from an overflowing dam valve, successfully completing the emergency mission.
In Nazi-occupied France just before D-Day, OSS agent Bob Sharkey parachutes behind enemy lines with a dangerous mission: secure the plans to a secret ammunition dump and bring back the collaborator Duclois, who knows its location. Racing against time and German forces, Sharkey must coordinate with the French underground and the Maquis to outmaneuver the ruthless Nazi commander Kuncel and pull off an escape that could help turn the tide of the invasion.
