Part of Marvel's 2021 "The Last Annihilation" event, this oversized one-shot puts the older, battle-hardened Cable front and center — massive gun slung over his shoulder, glowing energy blade in hand, set against a smoldering alien cityscape under a blood-red sky. Stefano Caselli's cover captures the man-out-of-time soldier at his most imposing, all tactical armor and iron-jawed resolve amid the ruins of what looks like a cosmic battlefield. Al Ewing and Bob Quinn bring their talents to a story titled "Call in the Big Gun," and judging by the cover, that title isn't subtle — nor does it need to be.
