Cable #60

Part two of "The Nemesis Contract" arrives in Cable #60, and the cover by José Ladrönn and Juan Vlasco pulls no punches — Cable, silver-haired and battle-worn, locks in a fierce close-quarters clash with the armored Agent 18, both figures tangled in a furious exchange of fists, blades, and hardware against a chaotic cityscape backdrop. The cover copy dares to ask whether this new opponent might be the enemy who finally takes down the Askani'Son, which sets up the four-part arc with genuine tension. Joe Casey and Ladrönn were clearly swinging for something visceral in 1998, and this installment looks every bit the part.
