C.R.S = Détresse #9

Three cheerful snowmen — one in a top hat, one with a red nose and striped scarf, and a smaller one in a red cap — loom over what appears to be a hapless, snow-buried police officer, setting the playful, wintry tone of this ninth volume in Achde and Cauvin's long-running French comedy series. Battu en Neige! (roughly "Beaten in Snow!") promises the kind of good-natured slapstick the series does so well, with law enforcement once again on the losing end of a very undignified situation. Published by Dargaud in 2001, it's a delightful entry for fans of Franco-Belgian humor who enjoy their comedy served ice-cold.
