The fifth volume of Aclès's sharp French comedy series finds a lone riot-gear officer — shield raised, visored helmet gleaming — facing down a riotous mob of increasingly agitated protesters, one of whom waves a sign reading "On n'est plus content!" The cover bursts with slapstick energy, from the crowd's wild-eyed expressions to the scattered yellow leaflets littering the ground between the two sides. A fine 1997 addition to this affectionate send-up of French civil unrest, published by Dargaud.
