The opening volume of Cédric arrives in this 1999 Dupuis edition, subtitled Naar School — and the cover sets the tone perfectly: two young boys are up to some classic mischief at a wooden outhouse door, complete with a heart-shaped cutout, while a burst of musical notes wafts from inside suggesting someone is in there, blissfully unaware. Created by Laudec and Cauvin, this Belgian comic series promises the kind of warm, everyday childhood humor that made Dupuis a cornerstone of Franco-Belgian comics.
