Buzzy #69
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeDC's "America's Favorite Teen-Ager" is in fine holiday form in this charming January–February 1956 issue, as the cover strip shows Buzzy planting a big "SMACK!!" on a red-headed girl — only to reveal, panel by panel, that his claimed mistletoe is decidedly not mistletoe at all. The four-panel gag plays out with delightful comic timing, wrapping up with Buzzy's cheerful confession that Miss Greene always said he was a poor nature study student. At just a dime, this little slice of wholesome teen humor captures exactly the warm, laugh-out-loud spirit that made Buzzy a mainstay of DC's mid-1950s lineup.
