A snowy ski slope sets the scene for pure comedy in this 1946 DC gem, with cover art by George Storm capturing three characters in gloriously chaotic motion — a trumpet-blowing skier sending musical notes flying, a distracted fellow in earmuffs casually reading a newspaper mid-slope, and a cheerful young woman in red managing her poles with considerably more composure. The earmuffs gag in the speech bubble ties it all together with the kind of dry, knowing humor that made Buzzy such a treat for young readers. At ten cents, this March–April issue offered a lighthearted winter escape that still brings a smile decades later.
