There's something endearingly charming about this 1949 DC teen humor comic, where "America's Favorite Teen-Ager" finds himself behind the wheel of a bright red convertible on a stormy night, his date beaming that it's a lovely evening while Buzzy can only manage a lovestruck "Sigh!" Fifty-two pages of that kind of warm, gentle comedy made Buzzy a genuine bright spot on the mid-century comics rack. If you have a soft spot for the lighter side of the Golden Age, this one's a delightful reminder of how fun a ten-cent comic could be.
