In a remote village where monkeys are revered as sacred, famine threatens the people while the apes feast. When the maharaja brings a caged gorilla to prove that apes are no gods, the villagers, convinced the creature’s imprisonment has caused the drought, risk everything to set it free—paying a terrible price.
